We are keen to hear your thoughts on the future of Collings Park Surgery.
As you will be aware, as a result of pressures arising from the COVID-19 pandemic, the surgery was temporarily closed earlier this year, with affected staff redeployed elsewhere within Mayflower Medical Group and registered patients, such as yourself, offered primary care services from Mannamead Surgery and Mount Gould Medical Centre.
We have now reached a point where we must evaluate whether the best interests of our patient population will be served by making the closure permanent. Certainly, this option would significantly reduce the likelihood of unanticipated complications, such as staffing shortages, necessitating unscheduled closures, while at the same time improving access to facilities, as a result of increased car parking space and lift access.
In addition, we would like to take this opportunity to reassure you that, should the closure become permanent, you would continue to be registered with Mayflower Medical Group, and to see the same GP, and practice staff. At the same time, we would welcome any thoughts you might have. With that in mind, I am attaching a Patient & Stakeholder Engagement document detailing the current position, as well as a questionnaire to provide stakeholders, such as yourself, with an opportunity to share any thoughts or feedback
